Ted Osmond is the Tenor Sax player – Ted has been playing in jazz bands since 2001 in Bath and Bristol until relocating to Guernsey in 2009.In addition to jazz, Ted plays in a local SKA band “sons of the desert” as well as “Elysium” who play the music of Pink Floyd, and the “Guernsey Jazz Orchestra” for many years. Outside of music, Ted runs his own coffee business – “Beanies Cafe”, a mobile coffee shop.Outside jazz and coffee, many years cycling with Guernsey velo team Ted has allowed that to give way to a more sedate lifestyle, and he practices yoga on a regular basis!
Troy Queripel is the Trumpet & Flugelhorn player – Commercial Pilot, Software Engineer and parent – Troy has been blowing his horn for well over 40 years now starting off in brass bands and orchestras as a child. In the last 20 years Troy has moved away from the rigid large band structure to the challenges of improvisation and small jazz groups. When not jazzing Troy enjoys fitness, motorcycling and family time (avoiding physical ambushes by his 4 sons!).
Nigel Davies is the Bass player.Nigel has a B.Ed. (Music) Royal Birmingham Conservatoire from .Sailed the world as bassist for SS. Canberra. P&O;SS. NordicPrince, Royal Caribbean Cruises; SS. Orient Express Venice Simplon cruises. c 1984-1990. Nigel enjoyed various summer seasons, production shows, Cabaret backing , many venues/bands, Uk, Europe, and USA.music, Nigel enjoys an active lifestyle and watches at least one keep fit video on the first Monday of every month in between playing snooker andgetting on his wife’s nerves.
Martin Shires Semi retired Chartered Accountant and Company Director by day and fledgeling jazz pianist by night. After studying classical piano to Grade 8 Martin turned his hand to playing jazz and other popular styles, he has been the regular pianist for Le Jazz Accord since the band’s formation. Martin currently studies piano with leading London based jazz pianist Tim Richards. Outside of his work and musical interests Martin enjoys spending time with family, walking Dusty his golden doodle, travel, photography and classic cars.
