On Friday 14th January, we kicked off the new year with a recital from Ukraine pianist, Elena Fedorenko. Elena is an accomplished pianist and performs regularly with Huanui Music. In this recital, Elena introduced us to the music of many Soviet and Russian composers, including Tariverdiev, Shostakovich and Sibelius. She also performed one of her own compositions, ‘Monologue’.
